Information you give us
When you complete a contact form, request a strategy call, download a resource or run one of our free tools, we collect the details you submit — typically your name, email address, phone number, company name and website, and any message you include.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we collect technical and campaign data to understand how visitors find and use our site. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the page you submitted a form from, the referring website, and marketing parameters such as UTM tags and Google click identifiers (GCLID).
How we use your information
- To respond to your enquiry and provide the services or reports you asked for.
- To contact you about your project, proposal or account.
- To measure and improve the performance of our website and marketing campaigns.
- To send you marketing communications where you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email.

We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies, deployed through Google Tag Manager, to run analytics and advertising measurement. This includes Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and the Meta pixel. These tools help us understand which campaigns generate genuine enquiries. Blocking cookies may affect how parts of the site behave.
Who we share information with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate the business, and only as far as they need it. These include our website and database hosting providers, our transactional email provider, our CRM and analytics and advertising platforms. Each is bound to protect your information and to use it only on our instructions. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our legal rights.
Some of these providers process data outside South Africa. Where that happens, we rely on providers that offer a comparable level of protection to POPIA.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and lead records for as long as needed to serve you and to satisfy our legal and accounting obligations — normally no more than five years after our last interaction, unless you ask us to delete your information sooner.
How we protect your information
Access to our lead records is restricted to authorised Syte staff and protected by authentication and row-level database security. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
Your rights
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct or update inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your information, where we have no legal reason to keep it.
- Object to processing, or withdraw consent for marketing at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.

Children
Our website and services are intended for businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18.

Our site links to other websites, including client sites and platform documentation. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites — please review their own policies.
